The new year is approaching and the idea of making a New Year's resolution usually enters my head after Christmas.
A resolution is a firm decision to do or not to do something, and a New Year's resolution is the promise of an improvement in your life that starts on New Year's Day.
Usually keeping a New Year's resolution takes a little work. Some examples of improvements often include health benefits: eating better, exercising more, quitting smoking, losing weight. Some goals might involve a job change, travel, financial improvements, trying new things, or volunteering.
When I think about a New Year's resolution, I want it to be something I will not quit after a few days. Once year I promised to use my camera more. Another year my goal was to read more. Nothing serious. Small changes. Little successes.
Have you been thinking about your resolution?
