I’ll have more dessert

Here’s a sweet little tip to help you remember how to spell desert, the dry, emtpy land, and dessert, the sweet course eaten at the end of a meal.

Well, years ago when I was a student, one of my classmates told me that dessert has two s’s and a person usually wants more dessert because it tastes so good. More dessert, more s’s in the spelling.
